Traditional law firms can feel formal, rushed, or difficult to access. JPR Law was built differently — with virtual meetings, flexible scheduling, and clear communication designed to make legal planning easier and more comfortable for busy individuals and families across Illinois.

Comprehensive Services

Estate planning and probate matters are deeply personal. Families are often navigating important decisions during times of transition, uncertainty, or loss. Our goal is to create a calm, organized process that helps clients feel informed, supported, and confident moving forward.

Peace of Mind

Experience & Expertise

Comprehensive Services

EWe believe good legal guidance begins with listening. Every family has different relationships, goals, concerns, and dynamics that deserve thoughtful attention. JPR Law takes the time to understand the real-world issues clients are facing rather than applying a one-size-fits-all approach.

What is our Why?

Everyone must make decisions about life’s inevitable events. Avoiding them doesn’t mean they go away—it only creates uncertainty and stress for your family. Disability and death are facts, yet few of us want to discuss them. But without planning, families suffer unnecessary burdens when the time comes.

Who will handle your finances? Care for your children? Make medical decisions? Families fight over these unanswered questions, creating painful, avoidable conflicts. If you don’t decide, your family will have to, and that uncertainty can permanently damage relationships.

Our mission is to help people move past hesitation and start these essential conversations. We provide a safe space to explore hard choices—because making a decision, even a tough one, is better than leaving things uncertain.

Please start this conversation, whether with us or using the resources we provide. If we can help in any way, reach out. Thank you for taking this step toward creating certainty for yourself and your family.

Sincerely,
Julie A. Kolodziej

Julie A. Kolodziej Illinois Estate Planning, Probate & Trust Administration Attorney

I’m Julie Kolodziej, founder of JPR Law, LLC and an Illinois estate planning, probate, and trust administration attorney.

Over the years, I have learned that estate planning is not really about documents.

It is about people. As an estate planning attorney, probate attorney, and trust administration lawyer in Illinois, I have seen that what families struggle with most is rarely legal complexity.

It is uncertainty.

Who makes decisions.

Who steps in during a crisis.

What feels fair.

How family dynamics show up when emotions are high.

I have spent years helping Illinois families navigate estate planning, probate administration, trust administration, and the realities that arise after someone dies.

That experience changed how I think about planning.

I do not believe estate planning should be fear-based or transactional.

I believe it should be honest.

The best estate plans are not built around perfect families.

They are built around real people, real relationships, and thoughtful conversations.

My goal as an Illinois estate planning attorney is to help clients think clearly about the people they love, the responsibilities they are creating, and the outcomes they truly want.

Sometimes that means talking through difficult family dynamics.

Sometimes it means simplifying things.

Sometimes it means helping families feel more prepared and less overwhelmed.

I created JPR Law, LLC because I wanted a law practice centered around relationships, clarity, and flexibility.

A place where estate planning feels approachable.

A place where people can ask honest questions.

A place where thoughtful planning matters more than rushing through paperwork.

As Julie Kolodziej, founder of JPR Law, my work is focused on helping Illinois families create clarity now — so the people they care about have less uncertainty later.

Whether you need estate planning, trust administration, or probate guidance in Illinois, my goal is to help you create a plan that reflects your real life and your real family.
